无锡埃卡内基学院正式开学

由无锡滨湖区政府、卡内基梅隆大学软件教育培训中心（iCarnegie）和软通动力（iSoftstone）共同创办的无锡埃卡内基学院于2009年10月27日正式开学。无锡市政府副市长方伟、市长助理倪斌，卡内基梅隆大学常务副校长马克-卡姆莱特博士、埃卡内基董事会主席威廉-格特曼博士、埃卡内基首席执行官吉尔-塔然，软通动力董事长兼CEO刘天文、欧美事业群董事长兼美国公司总裁杨文慶等出席了开学典礼。此外，来自爱立信、阿尔卡特朗讯、波音、索尼、英美烟草等10余家国际知名企业和市服务外包人才培训联盟会员单位的30多名代表也共同出席了活动。共有150余名学员报到入学。今年6月，无锡滨湖区政府、卡内基梅隆大学软件教育培训中心（iCarnegie）、软通动力三方正式达成共建协议。本次与软通动力的合作，是埃卡内基首次以直接投入、课件定制和派出师资的方式在中国内地开展的具有认证资格的高级IT人才培训合作。 无锡埃卡内基学院引进了全球享有盛誉的软件系统开发（SSD）系列课程，是由卡内基梅隆大学开发的面向软件系统设计与开发人员的教学体系，共十门课程，覆盖了卡内基梅隆大学计算机科学75%的知识内容。定位于面向中高端IT人才的培养，在国内软件工程教育体系当中处于高端地位。全部教材、习题、考试、授课采用全英语或双语方式。

Wuxi iCarnegie Institute Holds Official Opening Ceremony

On October 27, 2009, Wuxi iCarnegie Institute, jointly established by Wuxi Binhu District, iCarnegie, and iSoftStone, held her opening ceremony. Dr. Mark Kamlet, Carnegie Mellon Provost, Dr. William Leonard Guttman, iCarnegie Chairman of the Board, Gil Taran, iCarnegie CEO, TW Liu, iSoftStone Chairman & CEO, and Edward Yang, Chairman of NAE & President of iSoftStone Inc. each presented during the ceremony. A dozen of globally famous enterprises such as Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Boeing, Sony, British American Tobacco sent their representatives to attend the ceremony. Another more than 30 representatives from the member organizations of Wuxi Training League of Outsourcing Service also come to witness the grand event. The enrollment has reached more than 150 students. Earlier this June, the three parties reached an agreement to found the institute. This is the first time that iCarnegie will take an ownership stake, tailor coursework and deploy staff in mainland China to help build an international IT education institute with certification capacity. At present, the institute’s enrollment has surpassed 150 students.
